Amma - transferred to Normal ward

Yesterday, it has been reported that Amma has been transferred to a normal ward.

If this is true, I am happy that TN is closer to having a real CM in place than a shadow CM with additional portfolios assigned to him.

But as usual - its all WORDS!!! Where is the proof that she is alright? Who has seen her? As I said in my earlier post, i would prefer to wait for some proof of her well being instead of mere notices and announcements.

DEMONETISATION DEMON - HIT ON GDP

16 lakh crores have been demonetised.

Our printing presses (4) have a total capacity to print 2100 crore notes ANNUALLY.

Even if they print 2100 crore notes in denomination of 2000 - it will take atleast 5 months to replace 16 lakh crores.

If replaced with 500 rupee notes, it will take atleast 1.5 years to replace. So how does the government guarantee that problem will get over in 50 days?!!!

The interesting foot note is that printing press at Dewas does not have sufficient printing ink and has floated tenders inviting suppliers.

But, we cannot replace with 2000 and 500 notes because everywhere we need notes of smaller denomination. So, you dont need to be a genius to understand that this problem will take at least another year to two years to become manageable. People have money but they dont have cash to spend.

In the meantime, our GDP for OCT, NOV, DEC will be almost ZERO and our GDP for this year will come down from 7 to around 5 percent!!!! We have industries who have orders, contract employees, money in bank but still cannot pay their employees. Lets take a factory with just 15 employees who are paid 15000 a month. The employer would need 3 lakhs to pay just salaries. But he is allowed to take only 50000 a week - i.e 2 lakh a month. Now, you might understand the magnitude of the problem. I dint talk about 1000 employees....

Out of 120 crore indians, almost 100 crore are running after banks and ATMs. Even if everyone is losing a minimum of 250 rupees loss in productivity - India is suffering 25000 crores loss everyday. Its been 12 days already - so roughly a loss of  3 lakh crores!!! Govt gets a revenue of 50 Crores from toll booths. 12 days of NO TOLL - the loss in revenue is 600 cr.

If the Intention was really attacking black money - the attack should have happened on the top 5 to 10% people who control 90% of India's black money. Bulk of the black money is with politicians and builders.

Yesterday my sister got angry with me for criticising this Modi move. I cannot see this issue only through emotions but through facts and analysis. I cannot agree with a fascist view "either you are with us or you are against us" - there is a vast grey area where 80% of people reside. While i support this strong action of our PM Modi, I wish he had planned this through without affecting the common man in such a severe way forcing almost every poor person to become a beggar.

Hnble CM Jayalalitha cured. But where is the proof?

Yesterday, apollo hospital's Pratap Reddy gave a press conference that the honorable CM is fully cured and that she has to decide when she will return home.

All these days, citing her illness as an excuse, there was a blackout on news about her health. Now that she is fully cured, they could have given some proof to back their words.

There is no happiness in the face of anyone announcing that she is well. Their eyes are lying.  That is not a good sign.

Just a week ago, Dr Balaji certified that her right hand was inflamed. She had tracheostomy. She was on respiratory support and ventilator support. Within a week, suddenly they are announcing that she is completely cured....so difficult to believe.

Central Minister Venkaia Naidu says that official information is that she is recovering well.

Whom to believe? Hospital chairman who says that she is completely cured or the minister who cites officials and says that she is getting cured?

I would rather wait till she actually comes out of hospital.

Will Jayalalitha come out of Appollo alive? PART 2

Almost a month ago - on Oct 8, 2016, I wrote the first part of this article.

My opinion is that in the absence of official information - anything can be a rumour. It is now obvious that all those who were saying that "Ms Jayalalitha is fine" were actually spreading rumours. (an interesting question wud be - will the courts release all those who actually were saying the truth but were arrested for "spreading rumours"? Hindsight has shown that what they said were not rumours!!!)

Tracheostomy is a procedure which is done, only when normal breathing is not possible. So it is reasonable to conclude that she cant breathe normally - which is a serious condition. The hospital has released statement saying that she is on respiratory support  which again proves that she is seriously ill.

Dr Subramanian Swamy tweeted on Oct 29 that she has miraculously regained consciousness!!! If this news is true - then it means that she was in a coma - so all the vaguely worded statements released by the hospital claiming that she was alright and "improving" and "responding well to treatment" are false.

We have an elected government in TamilNadu. But what is worrying is that the government is being controlled by extra constitutional authorities. There is law in Tamilnadu but the administration is in a flux. The redistribution of CM's portfolio to Mr Paneerselvam was done to avert a constitutional crisis - but having a baby-sitter - who will not take any major decisions in the absence of Ms Jayalalitha is worrisome. The administration is overseen by experienced bureaucrats - so there may not be a problem there.

People need to know the real health status of their CM. When MGR was hospitalized - Tamilnadu survived from 1984 to 1987 with an ailing CM. The people who are in love with their "AMMA" want her to recover - but they have a right to know a decent update on her health other than "fever and dehydration" nonsense.

If indeed, she was in a coma, then her thumb impression on election form-B will become another issue. Dr Balaji has certified that she placed her thumb impression - but the reason that he has given doesnt go well with his stature. Tracheostomy does not lead to right hand inflammation.

These are mind boggling political games - i am not even qualified to comment on them.

But doubts remain... what if she is actually in a coma ... what if here thumb impression was obtained without even her "consent"...

There are rumours that Dr Beale has suggested that she be flown to London for further treatment and that she might be flown out during the second week of November....(again tweeted by @swamy39 )

We want out CM back and we want her to recover fast.

My prayers are for her speedy recovery.
