Does the earth rotate?

The moment i ask this question - i will be termed a fool. I can even be bombarded with hundreds of facts - the earth rotates at 1674.4 kms per hour - it goes around the sun at 108000 kms per hour - only bcos of earth's revolution around its own axis - we have night and day - only bcos of earth's revolution around the sun - we have years and seasons etc...

Shame on me to even ask this question - but let me ask anyway...

1. If the earth is rotating around its own axis at 1674.4 kms per hour - a helicopter hovering above ground should see the rotation.

Of course - i forgot that you would say that the atmosphere and everything else rotates along with the earth...

So - lets go even further. A rocket in space (out of earth's atmosphere) should see this rotation. Right?

We have sent hundreds of satellite into space. Is there a single video which has captured this rotation??? If the earth is rotating at such huge speed - we cant even take a clear photograph of it.

Start Thinking.

2. If the earth is travelling at 108000 kms per hour - as it is claimed - no rocket can come back to earth at all. The speed of a rocket is around 20 to 30000 kms per hour. How can it cope up or catch up with the earth which is travelling at 108000 kms per hour?

3. Check all the images that you can find about space - on the internet - all videos. Try to see if there is any star in any of the pics/videos. You will be surprised to find that none of the pictures or videos will have a star in it. But the moment you lift your head up and look at the sky - you find thousands of them. What happened to all those stars when people shot photos or videos of the earth from above?  (here is a clue : a camcorder cannot capture a star - try shooting a video for yourself at night and see how stars disappear in your video)

4. The basis of good science is the ability to repeat an experiment and to obtain the same result. The earth rotates on its own axis - has this been proven?  The earth goes around the Sun - has this been experimentally proven? No is the answer to both the questions. They still - surprisingly - are ASSUMPTIONS!!!!

5. Is there even one single image of the earth from space? If someone shows you one - it will be a graphical composite (photoshopped). And when they show you one, pls ask - if the earth is an oblate spheroid - how come your picture shows a perfectly round earth?
